HIstory of The MNFCS
The Mannawanis Native Friendship Centre was formerly established and registered as a Non-Profit Society on October 26, 1978. The Mannawanis Native Friendship Centre is located in the town on St.Paul, Alberta. St. Paul is situated in the north east of the Province of Alberta known as the Lakeland Region.
St.Paul's population is 5,144 and the County of St.Paul has an additional 1,000 people. The Centre's programs are available to about 1,000 Aboriginal in St.Paul, as well as the combination of Saddle Lake and Goodfish Lake Reserves that include 7,648 people. Also included are Frog Lake, Beaver Lake and Kehewin reserves numbering 3,465 people along with the Metis Nations populations from Fishing Lake, Kikino and Elizabeth Settlements.
The Mannawanis Native Friendship Centre typically serves the area's First Nation and Metis People as well as individuals from the general population. The Centre has an open door policy and anyone seeking access to Programs are welcome to do so.
The Programming spans all age groups. Presenting issues in addition to services listed, can also include Child and Family guidance/victimization and offending, educational, career planning, career and employment referrals with population of 5,144 Canadians of diverse ethnic groups.
